CancerBACUP came to us to help revitalise their direct mail campaign following frustration with a large and costly agency.

Striding Edge have developed, written and designed an on-going series of appeals that have focused on first-hand testimonies from cancer patients or their close relatives who had benefited from the service. Each year we have been under budget and exceeded targets.

Carolyn is a young woman with Hodgkin's disease. She'd undergone chemotherapy and had greatly benefited from CancerBACUP's support and information services. Striding Edge interviewed Carolyn and developed an appeal pack telling her story in the first person allowing Carolyn to talk directly to CancerBACUP's supporters. 

She was able to powerfully convey the fears and anxieties she has faced and the very real difference CancerBACUP's support had made to her life.

The appeal continued our track record of significantly increasing income for CancerBACUP's direct mail appeals as well as increasing donor loyalty by allowing the charity's beneficiaries to speak directly to supporters.
